Dr Naskar is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton.

She was a postdoctoral researcher at the Whiting School of Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, before joining the University of Southampton. She moved to the USA after completing her doctoral degree from the University of Aberdeen.

Susmita’s research interests and expertise broadly lie in the field of multi-scale structural mechanics and multi-physics analysis focusing on artificially engineered materials, advanced composites and metamaterials covering the intersection of science, application and design involving additive manufacturing in engineering that warrants frequent excursions among the boundaries of applied mathematics, physics, probability theory and nanotechnology.
