About
Ilias Skandalos received his MSc degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2017 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton in 2023.
Since 2023, he is a Research Fellow in the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC) at the University of Southampton (Photonic Systems Circuits and Sensors Group).

- Ilias's research lies in the monolithic integration of quantum well/dot active devices with the silicon and silicon nitride photonic platforms for operation in the telecom (C) and datacom (O) frequency bands.
