People talking in a group

Our educational researchers are working to further the understanding and practice of inclusive, participatory and practitioner-based methodologies.

Part of Education

We focus on developing research that fosters and improves inclusive practice in an inclusive way. This means we often work with teachers and young people to carry out our research.

We have particular expertise in:

  • differentiation
  • collaborative working
  • social and emotional dimensions of learning
  • classroom interaction
  • using technology
  • learners experiencing marginalisation, social disadvantage or poverty
  • learners with autism and learning disabilities
