The University of Southampton
Centre for Risk Research

The Centre for Risk Research (CRR) is a multi-disciplinary team of academics who have developed an international reputation for excellence in the related fields of decision making, risk analysis, risk management and risk taking research. In these areas, we have a track record in successful research grant applications, regularly publishing papers in international journals and in producing leading research text books. We offer an important competitive advantage, as there are no comparable risk-related research centres in the UK that are embedded in a Russell group university, which have been established for over 25 years, and which offer the combination of quantitative and qualitative risk skills for which we have an outstanding reputation.

Centre for Risk Research
An Interdisciplinary Approach

The CRR provides a forum within which it members pool ideas, share information and support each other's research. This collaborative ethos has further enhanced the Southampton Business School's international reputation in the field of risk research, consultancy and teaching. The broad range of disciplines and skills associated with the CRR have enabled it to develop a distinctive, interdisciplinary approach to the analysis and management of risk.
