Keep fit and enjoy a kickabout with your friends on our indoor and outdoor football pitches. 

The most popular sport in the country, football is a great way to keep fit, social and active with friends.

Our pitches

You’ll find indoor pitches at Team Southampton Hall, next to Jubilee Sports Centre on Highfield Campus. We’ve also got grass and ‘rubber crumb’ pitches for use at Wide Lane Sports Ground. From 5 a side to 11 a side, we’ve got you covered. 

Pitches are available to: 

  • student members
  • staff members
  • public members
  • pay as you go users

If you’d like to play more competitively, why not think about joining one of the Students’ Union football clubs?

Booking a session

You must book a pitch in advance to play.

Staff and student members can book up to 7 days in advance.

Cancelling a session

Cancel your booking online

You can also:

Only the person who made the booking can cancel it. If you do not cancel at least 4 hours before the booking starts, we'll ask you to pay a £5.99 cancellation fee.

Pay as you go customers will get a credit for any fees paid as long as you cancel at least 4 hours before the booking starts.
