What is UK university Clearing?

Clearing is a way to apply for a University course that still has spaces available if you don’t have an offer or want to change your choice. Whether you're unsure about results day, rethinking your course, or applying to study in the UK for the first time, Clearing puts you in control.

If you apply for an undergraduate course through UCAS after 30 June 2025, we will automatically enter your application into Clearing. If you’ve already applied but you're rethinking your choices, you can now preview which courses have availability on our Clearing course vacancies page, before applications open on 5 July 2025.
