Graduate school

Postgraduate Research Students in Southampton Education School are part of the Faculty of Social Sciences Graduate School that is an ESRC recognised Doctoral Training Centre.

We are justifiably proud to have been recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for our Research Training. The ESRC is the leading UK body responsible for funding and supporting the next generation of researchers to become world class.

The Graduate School provides a rich environment for study including induction activities, student conference, showcasing of students' work and networking opportunities. It also provides research training programmes where you will have the opportunity to work with students and academics across the range of faculty disciplines.

The Graduate School enhances the research-centered learning and personal development of postgraduate students, through promotion of shared opportunities for learning and generic skills training, to meet current needs and prepare for future careers. The diversity of disciplines and professions represented across the University creates excellent opportunities for dynamic interactions and inter-disciplinary exchange in research and researcher development.
