We have six MSc Maritime Engineering Science courses - see below - enabling you to select the course most appropriate for your needs.

You will be able to use our world-class facilities, including a 138 metre towing tank, which is the largest university towing tank in the UK.

You will also benefit from the Maritime Centre of Excellence set up in partnership with Lloyd's Register.

/Advanced Materials

You will specialise in core naval and architecture subject areas with detailed study of engineering materials.

/Marine Engineering

You will specialise in marine engineering systems on board ships and offshore platforms.

/Naval Architecture

You will cover the core subjects of naval architecture. You will gain in-depth knowledge of the design and analysis of marine craft and structures.

/Offshore Engineering

You will cover the design and structural analysis of offshore fixed and floating structures. You will gain an understanding of maritime robotics.

/Yacht and Small Craft

You will specialise in the analysis, design and performance of yachts, small craft and other high-performance vessels.
