Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases

Dr Tristan Clark is an Associate Professor and Honorary Consultant in Infectious Diseases at the University of Southampton and University Hospitals Southampton NHS trust. His research is focussed on clinical trials of vaccines, antivirals and rapid diagnostic tests for respiratory viruses and other infections. He has published articles in the New England Journal of Medicine and Lancet series journals. He currently holds an NIHR post-doctoral fellowship to evaluate the clinical impact and cost effectiveness of molecular point-of-care tests for influenza and other respiratory viruses.
My research aims to improve the speed, accuracy and impact of diagnostic testing for infections.
