About
I am a Professor of Business Analytics at Southampton Business School, the University of Southampton and a member of the Centre for Operational Research, Management Sciences and Information Systems (CORMSIS). I am also a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an Associate Editor for the Journal of Simulation, an Area Editor for Health Systems, the general council member of The OR Society and the chair of The OR Society's Special Interest Group in Simulation. I did my PhD in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore and MSc in Operational Research Management Science at Lancaster University.
Currently, I am the Business School Director of Internationalisation. I am also serving as the external examiner at the University of Bath School of Maanagament for MSc programmes in the School of Management and the MRes in Management element on the Integrated PhD.

Current research
Multi-fidelity Simulation Optimisation for Digital Twin: High fidelity simulation model may not be practical for real-time decision making in digital twin; hence, a low fidelity model is needed to guide the high fidelity model find the optimal solutions faster. Currently, I have two PhD students applying this for case studies in Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation and Ford Motor Company. Previously, I had two PhD students working on this topic in collaboration with Rolls Royce and an Australian hospital, respectively.
Behavioural Modelling using Simulation: Eliciting human behaviours to be used in an agent-based simulation model is challenging. Hence, interested in studying various elicitation methods including serious games, questionnaire, experiments. Currently, I have a PhD student working on this topic with an application in food security.
