What Our Students Think

Following my first MA, I wished to continue furthering my education at Southampton because I experienced and knew what it can offer. I was then fortunate to be awarded a scholarship for a second MA in Maritime Archaeology and for a PhD.

As soon as I came for my interview day, I decided I wanted to come and study at the Archaeology department at the University of Southampton. The whole atmosphere gave me confidence and put me at ease.

Arriving at the department in my first year I was enthused by how passionate the lecturers were about archaeology and their research.

I’ve gained invaluable experience in a wide range of archaeological skills and it's been a fantastic opportunity to meet people working at the forefront of Palaeoanthropology.
