Alice Haddleton BSc Chemistry, 2013
Undergraduate
Hi, I'm Alice Haddleton and I studied BSc Chemistry within Chemistry at the University of Southampton.
The University has such a good vibe. The Student's Union is very active and organises loads of activities for you to do - whether it is sports you are interested in or learning a new language, Southampton has it all.
I decided to study chemistry as I found it the most interesting and challenging of my A level courses. Chemistry has both an interesting theory as well as an exciting practical element where you get to experience hands-on what you are learning about. The course at Southampton looked like it would combine these in a good way and help me expand on my knowledge, as well as enable me to have a great time whilst studying here.

Southampton is a good city to live in as there is so much going on. There is the shopping centre of West Quay, just a short bus journey away, which has a great range of shops and there is a leisure centre with a cinema to catch all the new releases. The people in the city of Southampton are friendly and there is a good atmosphere.
