Explore your civil engineering degree

You'll learn to help solve real-world engineering challenges and support the future development of our society. You'll get hands-on civil engineering experience in labs in our £48m National Infrastructure Laboratory, and gain understanding from hydraulics to soil mechanics, and structural design to construction management.

BEng Civil Engineering

BEng Civil Engineering (3 years)

Learn about structural mechanics, geotechnics, hydraulics and construction management in this three-year degree. You'll develop the skills to design and build creative solutions to real-world challenges.

MEng Civil Engineering

MEng Civil Engineering (4 years)

Take part in a master's-level group design project and advanced modules eg earthquake engineering, flood modelling and mitigation or bioenergy. Focus on design, management and teamwork.
