Civil engineering involves the planning, design and construction of structures, systems and infrastructure that positively support the future development of our society.

As a civil engineering student you’ll gain a wide range of knowledge and skills, from understanding hydraulics and soil mechanics to structural design and construction management.

You’ll be equipped with a sound understanding of the fundamental principles of civil engineering and the ability and confidence to apply them to solve practical problems.

At the end of their first year, students take part in the Constructionarium Challenge at the National Construction College
