The faculty of Mathematics is one of the best and the university itself is a reputed one for both its academics and its social lifestyle.

Q: Why did you choose to study at Southampton?

The faculty of Mathematics is one of the best and the university itself is a reputed one for both its academics and its social lifestyle.

Q: Are there lots of opportunities/places to socialise and relax here? (Clubs and societies)

The University of Southampton has a vibrant community of clubs and societies to meet the meets and to match the taste of each and every one.

Q: What is your opinion about the university's efforts to increase the flexibility of degree programmes and introduce more choice for personalised learning?

I believe this is a good thing since it allows students to learn about their specific subject of interest in a professional way.

Q: What is your opinion of support available for students on campus in terms of pastoral support, health services and student safety?

The university provides a lot of support when it comes to good academic support as well as personalised learning. The health services and the student safety facilities are also very efficient.

Q: Does the university help its students get ready for employment?

There are a lot of opportunities available at the university such as career fairs, internship and placement recruitments, among others that are held on the campus itself.

Q: The University helps students find placements and internships to complement their studies, is this a good thing?

This is a very good thing since placements or internships help students gain an insight about the real working world while they are still at university and this aids them in developing the required skills they will need later on.

Q: What are the benefits of living in halls?

While living in halls you benefit from the opportunity of making friends with people of the same age group as yours who are from many countries across the world, and you are living in an environment that promotes your personal as well as your educational world growth.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

After completing my bachelor's degree, I intend to pursue a master's degree in either statistics or actuarial science and hopefully, a PhD in either of the two later on.
