Since the Centre for Risk Research was established by Professor Johnnie Johnson in 1990, its members have continuously developed and fostered a unique interdisciplinary approach to risk and decision-making research, consultancy and education. In particular, the Centre aims to encourage a deeper appreciation of the nature of risk, to develop new approaches to its analysis and to assist individuals and organisations in improving the quality of decision-making and the management of risk and uncertainty.
