European Commission to Publish Article on Centre's Research Paper

Published: 4 November 2014

Science for Environment Policy, a news service published by the European Commission's Environment Directorate-General, will publish a news article about a paper written by Dr. Ian G.J. Dawson (pictured) and Professor Johnnie E.V. Johnson.

In the paper, which was published in the journal Risk Analysis earlier this year, Dr. Dawson and Professor Johnson highlight a number of important ways in which risk perception and risk communication research can play a key role in helping to address the challenges associated with the growing human population.

The contents of the paper recently attracted the attention of Science for Environment Policy‘s Production Editor, Dr. Daisy Brickhill, who now plans to run a news article about the paper. The news article will be circulated to over 18,000 policymakers, academics and business people across Europe to assist in the development of effective, evidence-based policies.

Dr. Dawson said “I am extremely pleased to learn that Science for Environment Policy plan to publish an article which will highlight the important contents of our paper. I think it’s great that the article will be distributed to influential people across Europe and I hope our recommendations can be used for social, economic and environmental benefit.”
