Dr James L Denison-Day's photo

Dr James Denison-Day is a Research Fellow within the Centre for Clinical and Community Applications of Health Psychology (CCCAHP) at the University of Southampton.

Dr Denison-Day is primarily involved in the design and development of digital health interventions for a range of clinical and health areas, such as eating disorders, infection control and cognitive health in older adults.

With a previous background in web development and website design, Dr Denison-Day completed a my BSc (Psychology w/ Neuroscience) and MSc (Foundations in Clinical Psychology) at the University of Sussex, before moving to Bournemouth University to complete a PhD exploring a digital intervention to improve treatment uptake amongst individuals with eating disorders.

Research interests

My research interests focus on the design and development of digital health interventions. In particular I am interested in exploring how technologies can be used to improve these interventions for both researcher and end user purposes, as well as the role of design and visual aesthetics in the effective delivery of digital health interventions.
