Dr Nic Fair is currently a Knowledge Engineer in the IT-Innovation group at the University of Southampton working on a range of European Commission Horizon 2020 and other projects researching and developing online learning, training and education, as well as managing Open Call cascade funding awards.
With a PhD in Digital Education and Web Science, he has research interests in Personal Learning Networks, networked learning, and VR/AR/XR in education and training. He has spent eighteen years teaching in a wide range of educational contexts, including Further and Higher Education and has previously led a range of innovation modules at the University of Southampton.
He is a UNESCO Open Education Resources mentor with the Bahraini Ministry of Education and mentor to the Web Science Institute funded 'Research while you sleep - SleepeR' intelligent study buddy research project with the Winchester School of Art.
