Life course research broadly includes Nutrition, Mental Health, Interdisciplinary Dementia and Ageing Centre (IDeAC) and Adolescent Health and Wellbeing.

- Nutrition: Our researchers are analysing how diet, nutrition and lifestyle can affect growth, development, metabolism and function with a view to develop new ways to improve public health and clinical practice.
- Mental Health: Our expertise in child development, psychological interventions and affective neuroscience combine to deliver cutting edge research that has the potential to improve mental health treatments and wellbeing across the lifespan.
- IDeAC | Interdisciplinary Dementia and Ageing Centre: Our interdisciplinary researchers work together to examine ageing and dementia with a translational approach that will impact on policy and clinical and professional practice.
- Adolescent Health and Wellbeing: Our researchers are creating new ways to help teenagers make better and more informed choices about their diet and exercise habits to ensure they and their future children are at a lower risk of developing non-communicable diseases in their adult life.
