I chose to study at Southampton due to the course only being offered here. I was unsure whether I wanted to focus on Biology or Marine Biology and only Southampton offered a mixture, which was perfect. I am very happy with my choice.

The highlight of my degree so far has been studying abroad at University of Gothenburg in Sweden as an Exchange student. It has been so valuable to my degree and personal growth. I even learnt a good amount of Swedish!

The best thing about studying at Southampton is the amazing facilities such as the NOCS and the field trips (of which there are plenty). I have even been back to Spain to work as a 2nd year demonstrator and I am off again in March 2017 as a 3rd year demonstrator.

In the future I can see myself staying in Biology be it a PHD or working for an organisation such as the Wildlife Trust.
