When it came time to decide which institution to study at, there really was no university with a better reputation of excellence in oceanographic studies than Ocean and Earth Science at Southampton. The National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS) has some of the best scientific facilities and resources in Europe. The NOCS serves not only as a Waterfront Campus for those of us enrolled at the University but also as a hub for marine research in the northern hemisphere. It is exciting as an undergraduate to be in such close proximity to truly novel and pertinent research.

Two of my greatest passions have always been the sea and travel. The Masters of Oceanography program with a year abroad has given me the opportunity to pursue both of these interests while studying at some of the most renowned research institutions in the world.

Two of my greatest passions have always been the sea and travel. The Masters of Oceanography program with a year abroad has given me the opportunity to pursue both of these interests while studying at some of the most renowned research institutions in the world. My exchange year in the United States has opened up many new avenues of academic inquest for me. Learning under the different teaching style of each institution has only served to enhance my educational experience.

I am an Oceanographer and ROV Pilot/Technician in Kuala Lumpur.
