Southampton and The Alan Turing Institute 

The University of Southampton is a University Partner of The Alan Turing Institute, the UK's national institute for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The Web Science Institute acts as the main point of contact between the university and The Alan Turing Institute.

The Institute is named in honour of Alan Turing, whose pioneering work in theoretical and applied mathematics, engineering and computing is considered to have laid the foundations for modern-day data science and artificial intelligence.

The Institute’s goals are to undertake world-class research in data science and artificial intelligence, apply its research to real-world problems, drive economic impact and societal good, lead the training of a new generation of scientists, and shape the public conversation around data.

Turing Internship Network

Applications now open for Spring 2021

For the Turing Internship Network 2021 Spring round, we are currently recruiting for 11 positions spanning across different expertise areas and the different divisions of our two strategic partners: GCHQ (and NCSC) and Accenture (and Accenture Labs). Applications for the 2020/21 Enrichment scheme are now closed. Applications for 2021/22 will open in Autumn 2020.
