About this course

With this Masters degree you will develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in ecology and conservation. This will prepare you to play a role in tackling a wide range of issues as the world's ecosystems come under increasing pressure.

This hands-on degree has a strong focus on practical skills and experience, with several field trips in the UK and abroad.

You'll develop habitat monitoring, species surveying and ecological analysis skills.

The course allows you to:

  • carry out fieldwork in Exmoor, the New Forest, Spain and Belize

  • complete 2 independent research projects, working alongside our active research staff

  • choose from a selection of modules to tailor your degree to your passions

  • spend a semester studying at a university in Europe or Australasia
