Module Aims

To provide an opportunity to work or research in an official statistics environment, and to reflect on how this interac ts with academic knowledge gained through MOffStat and EMOS.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

  • Apply the knowledge gained during MOffStat/EMOS to the workplace

Syllabus

The workplace experience is normally represented by the dissertation element of MSc Official Statistics, as long as it represents a work-related topic undertaken in conjunction with an employer. Additional learning comes through reflecting on the experiences gained.

Special Features

This module is part of the European Masters in Official Statistics. Although it has no credits it must be successfully completed in order to gain EMOS accreditation.
