This 20 Level 7 CAT point module is offered to ETS Officers (regular or reserve) who have been awarded a recognised Level 7 PGCE (primary or secondary) within the last 5 years. The module is non-residential but requires the same collection of evidence of professional competence and experience as the core PGCE Module 2. In short, officers on the ‘conversion’ route will need to demonstrate the same professional teaching evidence as their colleagues. The module also requires completion of a 4000-word assignment (or equivalent) examining their professional practice through the lens of academic literature.
Officers will be supported through this module with academic literature, videos and one to one tutor support akin to our doctoral researcher supervision.
This module is designed for qualified teachers who have joined the ETS Army pathway and who need experience of teaching adults in a work based environment. It forms part of the PGCE (Prof Dev).
