Module overview

This module offers an overview of the development of Jewish/non-Jewish relations from antiquity to the post-Holocaust era. We will explore change and continuity in the nature of responses towards Jews, and the creation of Jewish identities in relation to ‘others’. The themes of space, place, and time will be core to this module. It will explore politics associated with the ‘Jews’ alongside Jewish experiences, and questions of representation and culture.
