Module overview

This optional module offers you the opportunity to work in small groups of up to four, supervised by member(s) of staff in the History discipline with specialist knowledge and research experience in that field, who can guide the study and help students develop small research projects. The content and groups are student-led, and sessions involve supervisory meetings shaped around various key elements of the project, such as the literature review, primary source research, and the production of the final project outcome. Small group meetings will give you the opportunity to present and discuss our knowledge of the field, as well as your work in progress. The individually negotiated nature of this topic will also prepare you for dissertation work and for communicating and working effectively with colleagues.
