Module overview

This is an advanced module that exposes students to the scientific study of intergroup relations and interpersonal influence. The module will cover research illustrating the psychological underpinnings of persuasion, conformity, obedience, group/group-member interaction, and prejudice. Students will learn and discuss questions such as: How can individuals prevent others from taking advantage of them? Why is it difficult for different groups to co-exist peacefully? Why do some individuals hold radical ideologies?
