Module overview

We will analyse population health issues in different country contexts with reference to epidemiological and nutrition transition frameworks. We will discuss the role of health systems and policy strategies needed for population health interventions. Population health will be analysed through a comprehensive life course approach.

Important sexual and reproductive health issues, such as family planning use, psychosocial aspects of reproductive health, STIs and maternal health will be discussed. We will analyse causes and determinants of poor SRH and discuss how interventions can improve it.
