Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of patient-centred care in the investigation and treatment of patients.
- Understand the application of safe and effective clinical practice in diagnostic physiological measurement including; Clinical Electrocardiography Ambulatory ECG Application Non-invasive blood pressure measurement Ambulatory Blood Pressure Application Spirometry Oxygen saturation
- Understand the pathophysiology underlying a range of common cardiovascular respiratory and sleep disorders.
- Identify abnormal changes within physiological systems and measurements and relate to the underlying pathophysiology within cardiovascular respiratory and sleep science.
- Describe the role of Cardiology, Vascular, Respiratory & Sleep Science healthcare science practitioners in relevant patient pathways
- Understand the basic principles underpinning the routine investigations and procedures carried out in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and respiratory & sleep pathologies
