Module overview
This module is one of the compulsory modules taken by all students in the Contemporary Curating programme at WSA.
This module offers the opportunity to develop your research and academic skills, whilst supporting the development of your future career. It is a blended module, which means that some of your classes will be taught online, via pre-recorded sessions or ‘live’ sessions via Microsoft teams.
The module is informed by developments and the future outlook of UK policies on the creative industries, directing the emphasis on a commitment to creativity that supports you in pursuing a career in the creative industries

Having successfully completed this module, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- the complexities and parameters of your professional field and the important role of culture in promoting and achieving sustainable and equitable employment.
- how to develop your practice informed by scholarship and research;
- the ability to use a range of academic approaches and techniques applicable to advanced scholarship in the subject;
