Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Communicate your research data, ideas, problems and solutions, contextualising knowledge and structuring and sustaining arguments
- Show clear evidence of independent thought in analysing, interpreting and evaluating research data, appreciating the limits of knowledge and a willingness to challenge received wisdom
- Demonstrate that you are able to obtain and accurately record and report research data using techniques that you perform and can validate
- Work safely, efficiently and competently on your own and as part of a team
- Organise your activities to carry out the project within a limited time frame
- Plan an effective and realistic systematic research programme designed to critically evaluate your research hypothesis
- Assimilate information from a variety of sources and utilise this to design and modify your research programme

Learning Resources. • Project supervisors will provide guidance on reading associated with the project. • The library and associated electronic resources including access to journal articles. • Specialist software if considered critical for the project will be made available via either the university suite of licenced software, or by the project supervisor. • Access to data sets where necessary will be managed/made available by the project supervisor. • Guidance on all aspects of formative and summative assessments will be available via blackboard supported by the module lead.
